Acquires Baker Southwest
Recycling Plant
Mike Masson, President
and CEO of PolyTek Rubber & Recycling, Inc., has announced
the acquisition of the Baker Southwest plant, 11,400 E. Pecos
Road in Queen Creek, Arizona. The name of the Arizona recycling
plant has been changed to PolyTek Southwest.
The Baker Southwest plant was built, owned,
and operated jointly by Neste Oil Services and Baker Rubber.
Masson said administrative offices of the
new operation will be located in Phoenix at 3171 E. University
Drive.
Baker Southwest is one of the nation's
largest recycling operations and suppliers of crumb rubber for
use in asphalt paving. It also produces material for use in the
rubber goods industry.
The purchase of the Arizona plant was the
first of several expansion operations by PolyTek, which includes
plants in the southeast and western ports of the U.S., Mexico,
Latin America and Europe.
Fred McWenie is the Vice President of Sales
and RPA President Jeff Smith will continue as National Sales

RPA Welcomes Texas Recycler as Producer
Member
Gibson Recycling, Inc.
of Atlanta, Texas, was accepted as a "producer" member
at the April 15 board meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Gibson has been in the tire recycling business
in Texas for many years and is registered as a type V1 I I -R
used and scrap tire processing and storage site under the Texas
Natural Resources Conservation Commission.
Gibson currently maintains a 63 acre storage
site with the processing site occupying 10.6 acres.
Gibson Recycling, Inc. is a major supplier
