ASU - Arizona DOT Pavements and Materials Conference Arizona State University will host a two-day conference on March 6 and 7 with RPA participating as a sponsoring organization. The first day will be held in the Memorial Union on the main Tempe campus and open with a focus on future industry visions from national and state organizations. The afternoon session will present an overview of major national pavement/materials projects. Invited speakers will discuss the status of the NCHRP2002 Pavement Design Guide and other issues relating to the implementation of future changes to the Superpave System, including introduction of a Simple Performance Test to compliment the current Volumetric mix design process, said Dr. Matt Witczak, conference organizer. The second day will be held at the Phoenix Airport Marriott Hotel and consist of three concurrent workshops of importance to the Arizona design and construction community. Workshop topics will be: Portland Cement Concrete, Local Government Paving Materials Issues, and Field Management of Hot Mix Asphalt. CEUs will be earned for the conference.
